California AB 1305 disclosure

Statement of Compliance

Vestas Wind Systems A/S (“Vestas”) and its subsidiary Vestas American Wind Technology, Inc. provide this disclosure in accordance with the California Voluntary Carbon Markets Disclosures Act (AB 1305), codified at California Health and Safety Code (HSC), Division 26, Part 10, Sections 44475–44475.2. Vestas is a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing wind turbines worldwide. Vestas operates in more than 80 countries.

Vestas reports on sustainability as an integrated part of its Annual Report, in accordance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and its reporting framework, the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). This integration is reflected in the Sustainability Statement which is included in the Annual Report.

 

Disclosures for HSC §§ 44475 and 44475.1

Vestas does not market, sell, purchase, or use voluntary carbon offsets to calculate emissions reductions within the state of California. Accordingly, Vestas is not required to provide disclosures under HSC §§ 44475 and 44475.1.

Climate-related claims regarding efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions can be found in the Vestas Annual Report, which includes the Sustainability Statement.
