ESG related
We are reporting on sustainability as an integrated part of our Annual report in accordance with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and its reporting framework the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
We continue to make progress across a wide range of topics, with a clear focus on achieving the objectives of our global sustainability strategy. Despite increased GHG emissions in our own operations due to higher offshore activity, we continued to decouple emissions from growth, delivering significantly more GW to the market and servicing more turbines than previous year.
Orders of 22,000+ tonnes of low-emission steel for On- and Offshore projects help avoid around 37,000 tonnes of CO2e compared to
conventional steel. We are scaling our Blade Circularity Solution in close collaboration with our partner Stena Recycling with a test bed built for processing large composite samples.
We are on target for increasing our share of women in leadership positions. With a stable Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) compared to previous year, we are slightly behind our target. However, a 12‑month review showed a downward trend in potential fatal or severe exposures, supporting our 2025 strategic focus and indicating continued improvement.
More information about these topics and many others can be found in the Sustainability statement that is included in the 2025 Annual report.
ESG questionnaires and ratings
At Vestas we welcome the increased focus on and need for transparent ESG reporting. At the same time, we see a growing demand for providing the needed data and have therefore implemented a yearly evaluation process to determine which ratings and indices to support in the coming year.
Much of the information and data investors are looking for is readily availabe in our Sustainability Reports, and hence we encourage you to start here, if you have questions related to our approach to and data on environmental, social, and governance topics.
