Before developing a wind farm, it’s essential to understand local wind resources in order to accurately assess power production and rate of return for the project.
We base our understanding on detailed measurements taken from several measuring masts in the area where the wind farm is to be built. At a minimum, data measurements must be evaluated in terms of terrain and final layout of the wind farm, as well as historical measurements and data on wind conditions in the area.
We use our global experience to study the winds in India through our in-house wind and site department, based out of Chennai. We undertake detailed wind and site analysis over a period of time, to ensure that our customers’ investments in wind power are secure for the life time of the turbine.
