Maximising your investment returns
The weight of our turbines is a priority. The heavier a turbine is, the higher the cost of production, materials, transport and installation; so we go great lengths to keep the weight down.
We also use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) when evaluating the position of turbines on-site and when optimising the blade design. CFD is a combination of theory and software that helps us to carefully evaluate the best layout for the wind turbines based on local airflows. This ensures the least amount of wear and tear and the maximum energy production, which in turn helps you achieve the best return on your investment in Modern Energy.
Another of our efficiency improving patented technologies is OptiSpeed. This allows the rotational speed of the rotor to vary from the nominal rotational speed by up to 60%, and by up to 30% above and below the synchronous speed, resulting in increased energy production in changing wind conditions.
Before we introduce a new type of turbine, we rigorously test their energy production, power quality and noise level, factors which are crucial to ensuring maximum quality and performance. Once we are completely satisfied, we insist that the results are verified by independent analysis.
