In 1999, we were the first wind turbine manufacturer to export turbines from India.
In 1999, we were the first company to introduce higher capacity turbines with the launch of our 750 kW turbine.
In 2001, we earned ISO 9001 / 14001 / 18001 certifications in a single audit.
In 2004, we took it one step further and introduced our V82-1.65MW turbine – one of the most successful higher capacity turbines in the country.
In 2008, Vestas opens Research & Development center in Chennai, the largest outside Denmark
In 2010, Vestas introduces the V100-1.8MW, the best in class turbine for the Indian wind conditions.
Today, we have over 2,400 MW of installed capacity (as on Dec 2010), throughout the states of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala and Rajasthan.
