Vestas has been in India since 1997, delivering modern, reliable wind technology to help our customers make the most of India’s vast wind resource.
We employ over 950 people across our headquarters in Chennai, our world-class production facilities in Chennai and Puducherry and at Technology R&D. The Chennai facility alone produces 600 turbines a year on a single shift, and also houses our specialist in-house Clean Development Mechanism desk to help customers apply for carbon credits.
Also in Chennai is our dedicated R&D centre, which employs over 300 people. It’s our largest outside Denmark, carrying out cutting edge R&D into virtually all aspects of wind turbine engineering and design:
