Focus area
In implementing our corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy, we focus on four key themes:

Education: We are proud of our track record in rural education. We strongly believe that education can transform the lives of individuals, families and their communities, wherever they are.  We launched our Little Dreams project in 2006. It provides support and guidance to help children in rural communities achieve their educational ambitions. To date, more than 300 children across 20 schools covering seven wind farm sites have been enrolled in Little Dreams.

Health: In partnership with governmental health departments and NGOs, we organise ‘Health Camps’ to improve the availability and quality of specialised health care services for communities near our wind farms.  The project is primarily aimed at the early detection of illnesses, so that patients have more time and knowledge to seek appropriate medical care. To date, over 25 health camps have been held, benefitting over 10,000 people living around 10 wind farms in India.

Environment: We take an active approach to environmental care and protection, working with local communities, school children, Government agencies and NGOs to create awareness about environmental protection.

Our Life Skill Training Centre is currently training a group of youths in carpentry skills, focusing on effective recycling of our packaging wood. The project also helps to create better learning environments in rural schools by providing essential equipment like classroom room furniture and improve drinking water facilities, as well as careers guidance and personal development workshops.

Project Little Drops focuses on restoring community water sources, while Project Go Green works with local school children and villages, we have also planted around 6,000 saplings around 10 wind farms.

Employee volunteering: We encourage our employees to get involved in our social initiatives, not only to give something back to the communities they live and work in, but also because we believe that CSR can play an important role in enhancing individual fulfilment, personal development and job satisfaction. For example, employees can personally support our Little Dreams project by ‘adopting’ local children and helping them to achieve their educational ambitious.
