Power system

Our innovative power system ensures excellent grid compliance and is highly adaptable for future technical requirements. It also enables substations to be simpler and therefore more cost-effective.

It works through a permanent magnet generator and a full scale converter, which combine to deliver excellent performance and reliability. Most importantly, the power system is designed so our customers’ wind power projects can be fully compliant with current and future grid codes at the point of common coupling. How this is achieved may differ from country to country. Offering a higher yield especially at low wind sites, the power system is featured on the 2 MW platform turbines and on the V112-3.0 MW turbine.
