CoolerTop®

CoolerTop® is a cooling system for turbine nacelles, replacing the usual cooling fans. It works by channelling wind into the turbine’s heat exchanger, thereby cooling the water in the cooling system. This boosts reliability, not least by reducing the number of moving parts and electrical components in the cooling system – meaning lower maintenance costs, too. And as there are no fans, it reduces the turbine’s own energy consumption and has lower sound levels. CoolerTop® is available on the 2 MW platform turbines and the V112-3.0 MW onshore and offshore turbines.
