Here you’ll see a list of frequently asked questions about submitting ideas to Vestas.
Q: What happens to my idea after it is submitted?
A: First, we check to see that the form has been completed. The form must be complete for review. Next, we review submissions for business relevance. Do they fit in the scope of Vestas’ current business? If so, it will be reviewed by our technical experts.
Q: After my idea has been submitted, when will I hear back from someone?
A: Depending on the complexity of the idea, the evaluation process for a submission can take up to 2 months. The evaluation process takes time because there are several functional groups within Vestas that need to review the information to determine feasibility and benefit.
Q: Can I contact someone to check on the status of my evaluation?
A: We do not provide status updates for idea submissions during the review process. If any further information is needed, we will contact you.
Q: Will Vestas give reasons for declining my submission?
A: We will not be able to provide a detailed assessment of our review, but we will reply with our decision to pursue your idea or not.
Q: Why can’t I submit confidential information?
A: We can actually review the idea and determine interest more quickly if the information we receive is classified as non-confidential. To avoid any misunderstandings and to comply with Vestas’ procedures for handling confidential information, we do not accept confidential information during the initial phase.
If, after our preliminary review, we find it necessary to obtain confidential information from you, we may contact you to make the appropriate legal agreements – this is to keep the best interest of both parties in mind.
Q: What if I have additional questions about Vestas’ idea submission process that were not addressed here?
A: Please send any questions you may have about Vestas’ idea submission process to SubmitIdeas@vestas.com. Do not submit ideas to this e-mail address. Any idea submissions received at this e-mail address will be immediately deleted.
