As a result of the CO2 charges required by law and growing investor demands for a greener profile, more and more businesses are realising that they need to reduce their negative impact on the environment.

In Vestas, we take our own medicine every day
Over the past three decades, we have worked to create an environmentally-friendly, reliable and sustainable supplement to conventional energy sources. At Vestas, we use renewable energy every day. Sixty-eight per cent of our global electricity consumption is provided by renewable energy sources, and we are actively working to increase this percentage.
The desire for a sustainable development comprises social responsibility, environmental responsibility and financial profitability
Social responsibility and ethics are a natural part of our management philosophy and values. Yes, wind power is a business to us. But we are genuinely concerned about the environment, climate processes and the Earth's future. So we practise social responsibility both internally within the Group and externally to the wider community.
Through relevant dialogue and active cooperation with businesses, we will constantly strive for strong social involvement. We will also work to continually improve all circumstances relating to safety, social responsibility, human rights, labour market health, business ethics and the external environment. Our own employees will, through membership in liaison and safety committees, and in their day-to-day work, strive to promote the principles, guidelines and procedures described in a range of international framework agreements.
