Introducing the Romanian locations
Vestas Romania has a nice office in the north of the Romanian capital for the 12 employees working here in the Sales, Marketing and Service Departments. It is located in Bucharest, close to the House of Free Press and The Arch of Trimph. One of the great advantages is that the location allows easy travelling to Henri Coanda Airport.
Our other Romanian office is residence to the Construction and Service units, occupying the third floor in an office building, situated in Constanta.
A little history
Vestas Romania was registered as a legal entity in January 2008. The first projects for installation of wind turbines in the southern part of Romania have been executed with support from Bulgaria, Germany and Austria. Service teams tending to the wind turbines in the country were employed in 2010 and the Construction department started in 2009. 12 office employees and 6 service teams are located in the Romania offices by now.

What’s it like to work here
Wind power is a new market in Romania and is developing very quickly. We are an enthusiastic team, open-minded, working well together and willing to support each other in order to achieve results and overcome the challenges that we come across. Close relationships to the customers and exchange of know-how with colleagues from Bulgaria, Austria, Netherlands and Germany are the key factors to keeping on the highest quality level.
Local benefits
The third largest city in Romania, Constanta is now an important cultural and economic centre, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town centre. Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism. Open-air restaurants, nightclubs and cabarets offer a wide variety of entertainment.
Also Bucharest offers a number of superb museums, galleries, exquisite Orthodox churches and architectural surprises, and its political legacy provides a fascinating selection of sights where visitors can rediscover the events and emotions of its history. It is experiencing renewed vigour; historic buildings have been restored and there is plenty of nightlife and an increasing amount of cultural events. Traditional Romanian cooking can be savoured alongside international cuisine, and in summer festive beer gardens and picturesque parks are filled with cheerful crowds.
Sights and surroundings
Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, Constanta lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles from the Bosphorus Strait. An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, Constanta traces its history some 2,500 years back. Originally called Tomis, legend has it that Jason landed here with the Argonauts after finding the Golden Fleece.
The nation's capital since 1862, Bucharest is the country's largest and wealthiest metropolis. Once, the city was considered the 'Paris of the East' for its long leafy avenues and grand buildings together with its distinguished social scene enjoyed by the extravagant Romanian aristocracy. Tree-lined boulevards, classical buildings and extravagant public structures lie in juxtaposition to untidy, congested streets, unsightly Stalinist apartment blocks and incomplete constructions. It is a city that most people either love or hate at the first encounter.
