Introducing the Benelux office
Vestas has been active in the Netherlands since 1995. More than 200 employees are working for the Vestas Benelux B.V., which is situated in the city of Arnhem. The office is responsible for sales, marketing, installation and service of Vestas wind turbines in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Vestas has currently installed more than 1200 wind turbines in Benelux, with a total capacity of approximately 1600 MW. Vestas Benelux B.V. is part of our Central Europe region, with headquarters in Husum, Northern Germany.
A little history
On the 1st of November in 2009, Vestas Benelux B.V. moved from Rheden to Arnhem. The office in Rheden became too small, so it was decided to move to the best location in the nearest city in an effort to keep the knowledge and employees in the organization. The new office is now situated in the business district in Arnhem. This city, with more than 147,000 inhabitants, is an interesting and attractive location to work at and it is easy to reach.

Sights and surroundings
There are lots of things to do and see in Arnhem. There are plenty of shops, great restaurants and bars, art galleries, cinemas and theatres, and a zoo.
Arnhem is known for the events it organizes all throughout the year. Some of the favourites are the World Living Statues contest, the Night of Comedy, street theatre, fairytale festivals, and even an ice sculpture event. In the summer of 2009, Arnhem was voted the best Event City of the Netherlands.
The football stadium is only two kilometres away from the office and the train will take you to the capital city Amsterdam in only one hour.
