Introducing the Vestas Shanghai Procurement office
Vestas Shanghai Procurement Office (VSPO) was established in 2005. We are located in the Changning District, Shanghai and have a total of 110 employees.
The main focus of VSPO is to provide regional supply chain solutions to our manufacturing operations in China and to execute our global procurement and supply chain strategies in Asia. Over the years, we have attracted a team of talented professionals with unique experiences in sourcing and supply chain areas. We are committed to the development of the supply base in China, and our goal is to grow our suppliers into global players, who can not only supply to Vestas in China, but can also provide the best products and services to all Vestas factories globally.
VSPO is located in the Hongqiao Development Zone, which is one of the commercial and business centers in Shanghai. Moreover, our office is ideally situated 15 minutes from the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.
Inspired by our vision “Wind, Oil and Gas”, VSPO is committed to developing a world-class wind power supply chain in China and achieving a win-win relationship with our business partners.
A little history
Our office was established in January 2005, starting up with a small space and few employees. In December 2006, the Quality, Safety and Environment Department was set up, and we won the “ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 certification” awards. Eventually, we moved into a bigger office to accommodate the increasing number of employees.
Departments
There are four departments at this location: Global Sourcing & Purchasing, Quality, Production Engineering, and People & Culture.
