Introducing Argentina’s office
Our office in Argentina is located in Buenos Aires at the Madero Harbour Tower, situated within a continuously growing business centre in the city harbour surroundings. This area houses a number of buildings with an outstanding view over the Rio de la Plata, a river which measures more than 290 kilometres on the border between Argentina and Uruguay.
Together with other recognized international companies, Vestas is located in Puerto Madero, one of the newest neighbourhoods in the city and also the area where the most attractive sightseeing spots can be found. There are currently 7 employees working for Vestas at this location, as well as many technicians and project managers who often come to work at this office.
A little history
We moved to our new office in August 2011. It is much better than the former one and the new location fits better with Vestas’ standards.
As the most important real estate, mixed-use development in South America, Madero Harbour covers 8 hectares; 3 of which are designated as a public park, and the remaining 5 are taken up by the development project. With 300,000 m2 of covered area, the project combines offices, studios & residences, a hotel & spa, swimming pools, heliport, green spaces, parking lots, and a shopping center with a supermarket, a fitness center and cinemas. Together, the synergy among complementary uses, the architectural quality, variety of options within the same place, sustainability of buildings and significant amenities and services offered, all make this project unique. The project is expected to be completely finished by the end of 2015.

What’s it like to work here
The geographical location is perfect in regards to being close to the financial, administrative and corporate (including various well-recognized multinational companies) centres of the city. The Madero Harbour Office provides a great security service to the whole building. Its infrastructure has been extremely well designed and the service group in charge of maintaining it is also in charge of the administrative/maintenance area of the building. You can trust to find an excellent team that is always available to assist.
Local benefits
Among some of the local benefits of working in Argentina’s office is the commitment from management to improve the work-life balance of its employees in order to increase satisfaction and motivation even further. Last year, a new time schedule was implemented. This means that there is a flexibility of 30 minutes in the entrance time. So from Mondays to Thursdays, we work from 8.30-18.00 or from 9.00-18.30 and on Fridays from 08.30 -14.30, meaning that we always have Friday afternoon off.
