My role
In my daily job in the Finishing Department in Vestas Blades I report to my department’s Foreman and to our Production Manager. I try to behave in such a way to be an example towards my younger colleagues always focusing on Vestas’ first priority: safety!
My career path
I started working in Vestas with an in-service training contract converted into an open-end labour contract after 2 years. In September 2006 I became a Team Leader in the Finishing Department. This task has made my job even more motivating and has given me a great sense of responsibility.
My network
I consider both travelling and the network inside Vestas as a major tool to join different cultures and learn new working methods.
My Vestas
Besides developing my professional skills, Vestas also gave me the opportunity to travel. I’ve recently spent two months in Lem at the Blades Factory where I learned so many things that I put into practice once I came back to Italy.
My life
I’m 34 years old, married and have three children. Therefore I don’t have much leisure time. However, whenever I can, I practice sports and I’ve been one of the players of the wonderful Vestas beach-volley tournament held in Lauchhammer in 2006 and in Taranto in 2007, of which I still keep a very good memory. I think these sport events are a very good opportunity to socialize with colleagues working in different and far away sites in a context different from work and I hope in the future there will be similar events.
