My role
My name is Claus and I work in the Supplier Development department which is under Supplier Quality & Development. The main part of my job is to develop current and new potential suppliers.
My career path
After more than six years in the semiconductor industry in Germany and Singapore, I felt that I needed a change. I wanted a meaningful job, and what could be more honourable than reducing world pollution by working in a green modern energy company. That’s why I applied for job at Vestas.
After working for almost a year in this position, I can clearly say that I’m very happy to work with supplier development. It’s exciting but also a challenging job where you need to be a good problem solver and communicator. All these interactions have given me personal growth and management has given me clear guidelines and the motivation to succeed.
My network
As good communication is the key to success, category teams have been established to ensure a balanced collaboration between quality, cost and design with a global scope. My network spans across the globe as we work with suppliers from around the world.
My Vestas
Vestas offers an extensive e-learning program which helped me gain sufficient product knowledge. I also learn from my colleagues; working within a team and making balanced decisions to achieve the common overarching goal is very rewarding.
My life
I like to travel, meet new people and cultures. I also like Aikido (martial arts), painting, music and dancing salsa.
