Maran, Marketing Consultant

Maran G Krishnan, Marketing Consultant, Vestas Asia Pacific:

“The more I read about Vestas and wind power, the more I wanted to be part of a company that makes a real difference in the reduction of CO2 emissions.”

Maran lives in Singapore and works for Vestas Asia Pacific headquarters. He enjoys travelling and meeting colleagues all over the world. Some of them have even become his really good friends.

External communication and customer loyalty

”I’m part of a team in Marketing & Business Development. My primary area of responsibility is customer communication for all of Southeast Asia. Not only that, I work with developing and preparing our customer loyalty programme. I’m also the main marketing contact person linking the corporate office in Denmark and our business units in China, India and Australia. The role I have in this is very challenging and educational. My job provides me the opportunity to travel as well as meet and collaborate with colleagues from all over the world. Some of them have become really good friends.”

”I have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Advertising from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. I started my career at a leading electronics company and did a stint in heavy industry before joining Vestas.”

The job ad was an eye opener

”One day, I saw a job ad from Vestas that made me curious. At that point I honestly didn’t know a thing about modern energy. The more I read about Vestas and wind energy, the more I wanted to be part of a company that makes a real difference in the reduction of CO2 emissions.”

”Vestas busy” – means constantly challenged

I really like the phrase “Vestas busy”, because it means that you are constantly being challenged within your work area – and you can be sure that you’ll never be bored. Not only that, the flexible approach to work and leisure gives you a good balance in life.”

An open culture

”We have a very open culture at Vestas that makes it easy to talk to management. I experience solid support for continual learning and for fulfilling my career plans.”
