State-of-the-art technology to achieve our goals
Technology is the foundation of our business. We produce the finest turbines, the strongest components and the most versatile systems, all engineered to extract every available kilowatt of energy from the wind and turn it into profit for our customers.
To meet our business goals and environmental vision, we need to ensure our workforce is the most technically accomplished in the industry.
As an employee, we’ll invest heavily in keeping you up-to-speed with the latest technology and equipment. This means training programmes, delivered via practical on-the-job development activities and classroom-based learning.
It also means introducing high-potential individuals to people and departments across our business. By helping them to gain a holistic overview of the entire Vestas value chain, we can reach new levels of technical accomplishment and better meet the expectations of our customers.
Rewarding excellence with fulfilling careers
As an engineer, you’ll be given the opportunity to transform the forces of wind.
Using cutting-edge technology, you’ll operate in an environment open to new ideas. An environment where innovation is encouraged and rewarded, and where everyone has the chance to prove themselves. In return, we provide a dynamic workplace driven by enthusiasm and high quality standards.
Your potential career paths are clear and transparent. As a knowledge and innovation leader you can develop from a specialist into a senior specialist, and eventually a chief specialist.
We’re a company that values technical excellence and the ability to see the limitless possibilities of wind. At every step of the way, we’ll provide you with professional support and encouragement to help you achieve your potential.
Throughout the company we run a number of specialist development schemes. These provide a strong internal pipeline of multi-skilled employees to ensure the future competitiveness of the company while boosting your career.
SEA: Accelerated learning for industry experts
Our Systems Engineer Accelerator (SEA) initiative is designed to ensure we have sufficient competent systems engineers to meet the evolving needs of the business.
As turbines become ever more complex and specialised, systems engineering becomes increasingly integral to our operations.
They work on uniting the separate components and systems – such as the rotor, blades, drive train, generator, converter and transformer – to ensure they perform harmoniously and efficiently.
Those chosen for the SEA initiative gain exposure and experiences across the value chain. They also receive training in systems engineering, business and leadership skills, enabling them to understand and satisfy the commercial visions of our customers.
For ambitious employees with high technical skills, adaptability, a holistic understanding of challenging projects and quick learning potential, SEA provides a catalyst for fast-track career development.
