The Programme

Graduate Programme

Launching your career at Vestas

Our main focus is the future: the future of the planet, the future of the business, and your future as a valued colleague.
Our Graduate Programme is a global scheme to enable young professionals to become our managerial, business and technical stars of tomorrow.
We launched our Graduate Programme in 2006 and it grows stronger year by year. Today, some of our early recruits are taking up key roles within Vestas – roles which will see them shape the future of the company.
But in a company with long-term goals and ambitions, the search for talent never ends.

Your development, our priority

As a Vestas Graduate, your professional development is a top priority. Apart from providing you with full training and support, we also offer varied and challenging work in an industry dedicated to making a positive difference to the world.
During your time as a Graduate, you will rotate between at least two Vestas locations around the world. You’ll broaden your skills while expanding your cultural understanding and improving your ability to adapt to new business environments.

A world of opportunities

Our Talent Development Specialists ensure you work on different assignments relevant to your chosen career path. By taking on increasing amounts of responsibility and working on ever more challenging tasks, you’ll find yourself well prepared for an exciting and rewarding journey with Vestas.
You’ll also benefit from a workplace mentor to help steer you through your time as a Graduate. Mentors can advise you on career decisions and help you develop a strong business network, as well as ensuring that your learning and development is fun as well as valuable.

The value of personal attention

As a Graduate, you will benefit from regular coaching and check-up sessions with one of our Specialists. They are there to help you transfer seamlessly from assignment to assignment, making the most of the opportunities available and constantly developing and performing at your best.
Throughout the two-year process you’ll experience working under three different managers. You’ll share ideas and receive regular feedback. In each assignment you’ll also take part in a Performance Development Dialogue (PDD), evaluating your progress and setting targets for the next phase in your development.

Graduate camps – pitching for the future

Apart from on-the-job training, the Graduate Programme includes four Graduate training camps.
These focus on high-level issues within Vestas and allow you to further develop your professional and personal skills.
Not only will you gain insights into different parts of the business, you’ll also develop contacts among your peers and establish a range of invaluable professional relationships.
