My role
My name is Lily, and I work as a QSE manager. It's my responsibility to establish and maintain the quality, safety and environment systems for Vestas in China. I make sure that the wind turbines are set up correctly, optimised according to local wind conditions, and that maintenance is carried out as scheduled.
My career path
I studied technology and information, and I have a master’s degree in project management. Overseeing installation processes is a lot like managing a project, so my background and my job are a really good match. Before I joined Vestas, I didn’t know very much about wind energy – but I was immediately taken with the obvious potential. I also think that wind turbines are incredible to look at.
My network
I work closely with my colleagues in Asia and Denmark. Right now, I'm focusing on optimisation processes, which means that regular conference calls are needed to exchange know-how and information. We have a fantastic team, and every single day I have the pleasure of experiencing different cultures.
My life
I love exercising – especially badminton and swimming. It’s also fun to explore Beijing. There’s always something new to see.
My Vestas
Vestas is an excellent place to work – the vision of clean energy is at the forefront of your mind each and every day. China has lots of mountains and a long coastline, so the potential for wind energy is huge!
