Responsible for the proper functioning on business development
”I work in the business development department with all the steps involved prior to a wind farm being established. For example, I help with the managements in order to obtain all necessary permits from the authorities and landowners, which can easily take several years. I compile data from our factories in Spain as well as information about employment created and regional investments - in order to fulfill with the industrial plans of Vestas. The value of being represented locally has to leave its imprint on the strategy of each individual project we carry out.”
Assisting with the establishment of offshore wind turbines
”As part of my work, I collaborate with the offshore department in Denmark and coordinate meetings and other events with Spanish and foreign customers interested in establishing offshore wind turbines in Spain.”
”Since starting at Vestas in 1999, I have worked with many different departments, for example, in the areas of projects and development. Before then, I worked for a leading engineering, architecture and consultancy company. I chose Vestas because it’s a global company and I have a strong desire to work with other cultures and ways of doing things.”
News and data collection via the intranet
”I use our intranet every single day to get an overview of what’s happening at Vestas, for example, with new projects, organisational changes and business development. I also collect data from our business units, and check current policies and key figures.”
