My role:
Hello! My name is Louise, and I have the pleasure of being a Supply Chain Graduate from team 2008. I started in the Vestas Graduate Programme only 3 days after I handed in my final thesis at Aarhus School of Business, and I have been challenged every day ever since.
My career path:
Having a good feeling and understanding of numbers and economic aspects along with a wish to always keep up with new trends led to a Bachelor study in Business Administration followed by a Master in Logistics at Aarhus School of Business. During my Master I got the opportunity to get hands-on experience through an internship in Vestas’ sales office in Barcelona. This internship triggered my interest in Vestas and the renewable energy industry, and applying for the Vestas Graduate Programme became my first priority in my job seeking.
My network:
My professional network in Vestas contributes to a better understanding of Vestas as a global company at full speed ahead. My network is an eye opener for exiting challenges at both operational and strategic levels, because it consists of colleagues from different levels and locations in Vestas. Taking part in cross-functional business projects increases my network and understanding of the entire supply chain in Vestas. Also, the opportunity to get to know colleagues from different parts of the company, heavily increases and enhances the steep learning curve we as graduates are in for. Being part of a Graduate team of more than 35 young graduates is also important in order to be on the cutting age of things at all times.
My Vestas:
As a graduate in Vestas, I get to test my strengths in various business areas, which widens my perspectives while at the same time sharpens my personal as well as professional focus. In my first rotation in the Blades Production Business Unit I was engaged in several projects, including a challenging cross-functional e-procurement project. My second rotation has just begun in the Chinese Sales Business Unit in Beijing, where I am taking on exiting projects within Forecasting and Supply Chain Management in the hugely growing markets in the Asian region.
My life:
To me, the Graduate Programme in Vestas opens up for opportunities to travel the world, challenge my beliefs, get a strong international profile and a priceless global network. Personally, I enjoy challenging my limits and widening my horizon. I also want to expand my cultural understanding skills and keep on learning new aspects of life both personally and professionally. Thus, being a Vestas Graduate complies excellently in this context!
