Dayu, Vestas Graduate

My role:

Hello! I am Dayu and I am a Service Graduate from Team 2007. During each of my three modules I will work on challenging projects and build my global network of talented colleagues.

My career path:

As a Graduate, challenging tasks and a complex environment are part of your daily work life. My first rotation was in China. Now I’m in Sweden and who knows where I will be next… Here in my second module, I work as an assistant project manager in Vestas Northern Europe’s new headquarters in Malmö, Sweden. I get to help plan a wind farm – making sure it’s built on time and within budget. On another project, I helped develop resource planning tools.

My network:

The Graduate Programme gives me an incredible opportunity to work with talented people from all over the world – and I rely on my network daily. From day one, I’ve been encouraged to get my ideas out there. I have easy access to my manager and the feedback is constructive.

My Vestas:

At Vestas, we help the world generate electricity with few CO2 emissions and limited consumption of fresh water. So working at Vestas, means that I can develop my career and protect the planet at the same time! I feel lucky to be a Vestas Graduate. It’s a dream job to travel around the world and meet people with different backgrounds. It gives me the opportunity to take the best of each culture and apply it when going forward.

My life:

I love cooking, which is a perfect way to spend my leisure hours at home, and it is a great joy. For me, cooking is all about fun, relaxation, and creation. I love to cook good food for my family, friends, and of course, someone special. I discover that menus are even cultural replica of different countries. Local cuisine is always my biggest interest when I am traveling.
