If you are interested in joining the Vestas Graduate Programme, you might have some practical and technical questions. You find the answers to the most frequently asked questions in our FAQ section below.
If you have further questions you are welcome to contact us at: graduateprogramme@vestas.com
The Graduate posting is listed under Denmark, does that mean that you only accept Graduates in Denmark?
No. You should look under the track description on the website, to see which regions are included in the specific Track. If you have a work permit in one of these regions, you can apply. Our application system requires that a country is chosen, this is why it says Denmark. To see all available Graduate Tracks, only type “graduate” in the search area. Do not choose a country.
When can I send my application?
The programme runs twice a year. Positions for Team September will be launched in February/March and job interviews conducted the following month. Positions for Team March will be launched in September/October with job interviews in November /December. The positions will be available at Vestas.com/jobs – search for ‘Graduate’.
Can I send an unsolicited application to the Programme?
We do not accept unsolicited applications or resumes, but we encourage you to keep an eye on our website when the positions are launched.
Can I send my application by e-mail?
We only accept applications through our e-recruitment system, which you can find at www.vestas.com/jobs.

Can I apply for more than one graduate track?
The tracks are divided into different areas, such as e.g. Finance, Sales/Projects or Technology R&D, but it is still possible for you to apply for more than one track. When applying you must upload a cover letter for each of the tracks you are interested in. You will be asked to choose your first priority track, and this is the track you will be assessed for first. At a later stage, the recruitment team will evaluate which of the tracks you have applied for, matches your background and competencies best..
What should I attach with my application?
Please attach a motivated application relevant to the position, CV and latest University papers showing your grades. Relevant written references are also welcome. All documents must be in English.
What should I attach if I have not yet completed my Master’s degree?
Please attach your Bachelor’s (BSc or BA) certificates and, if possible, an overview of your latest exam marks.
How do I apply for a graduate position directly from my profile in the Candidate Pool?
When you have entered all your details in our Candidate Pool, open your profile again (or select the “Personal Pages” link in the top right-hand corner). Select the “Job Search” link and you will be guided to a new page. Enter “Graduate” in the “Search for” field and press “Start Search”. Select the graduate position that you want to apply for and press “Apply”.
Can I complete the application in my own language?
Your application must be in English.
Which languages do I need to qualify?
You must be able to speak and write English fluently.
What qualifications do I need?
You need a Master’s degree in business or engineering to be qualified for the Graduate Programme. The specific path of study that you have taken must match the position for which you are applying. In your application you must then convince us that your background and profile are right for the Graduate position.
Will I have to write a main thesis?
No, this is not a degree Programme, but rather a job where you are given major responsibility and a full salary right from the beginning.
What does a graduate usually earn?
Vestas pays a salary that is competitive in the country where you have your first Graduate module.
What does it cost to take part in the Graduate Programme?
You do not have to pay anything to take part in the Graduate Programme. You are an employee and will be paid a competitive salary.
How do I find a place to live in the country where I will be working?
Vestas will provide accommodation for you and pay the rent during the Programme.
Do I have to apply for a work permit and visa?
You can only apply for a position in a country, where you hold a valid work or residence permit. Vestas will guide you on how to apply for the necessary permits during the programme.
Can I take my partner with me?
If you wish to take your partner with you, we will provide accommodation for two people. You will be given more information if you are chosen for the Programme.
Am I guaranteed a job when I finish the programme?
