If you are studying or employed at an institute of higher education, we currently invite Master’s students to use Vestas as a case study in your dissertation or major project within the following areas:
Service strategy
Make thorough, theoretically based strategy development for the overall service business. Based on a thorough literature study followed by academic analysis, position Vestas in the wind turbine service industry and give recommendation on specific areas for improvement/development. It could be: Product offerings, organizational structure, capability development etc. The specific area(s) will be discussed and chosen based on interest and needs.
Who should apply: Top master students located in Denmark within strategy, business administration, technology management or equivalent.
Strong strategic mindset and good business understanding a must. Understand/accept that a project agreement is a win/win situation where both parties have to deliver and meet expectations. The report/documentation has to be in English.
Timeline: Project is to begin immediately and end June 10

Economics/Supply Chain Management project – Commodity prices and their affect on wind turbine manufacturing cost
This project should analyze how annual iron ore negotiation between the three largest iron ore suppliers and different steel associations impact wind turbine cost. Analysis should include the impact of iron ore price fluctuation and steel price turbulence on wind turbine cost, specifically with a chapter dedicated to tower cost.
Who should apply: Master’s level student in supply chain management or economics to complete the research in English. This project can be done remotely so it is open to applications globally.
Time commitment: 3 months
