PhDs and master's degree students
To apply for a Vestas PhD or master’s degree scholarship, your university supervisor must send a declaration of interest to universityprogramme@vestas.com. If your declaration of interest fits our criteria, a Vestas engineer will contact your university supervisor to discuss your potential PhD or master's thesis project in detail. If your project is still of interest, your university supervisor will be asked to complete a full application on your behalf. This full application will be filed by the Vestas engineer with the Vestas evaluation committee consisting of a group of Vestas managers that decides which projects are granted scholarships. This web page is for submitting your declaration of interest only. The full application process takes place internally via the Vestas engineer, your supervisor and you when contact between the aforementioned parties has been established.
Declarations of interest are accepted twice a year. The deadlines for submitting a declaration of interest are 15 January and 15 August. The declaration of interest is then evaluated by Vestas within 30 days to determine whether a Vestas engineer should contact your supervisor. If you are not contacted by a Vestas engineer you will be informed at this point by e-mail that your declaration of interest will not be processed further at Vestas.
Twice a year, in mid-May and mid-November, the Vestas evaluation committee evaluates the full applications completed in co-operation with the Vestas engineer. You will subsequently be notified about the results of the committee’s evaluation.
Professors
Potential new Professors sponsored by Vestas must be recommended as candidates by their university management which is required to submit a declaration of interest on their behalf to universityprogramme@vestas.com. Upon receipt of your declaration of interest, Vestas will take direct personal contact with you and your university management.
