My role:
G’day! My name is Lone. I joined Vestas in 2003 as a SCADA Engineer. In this job I combine mechanical and electrical engineering with network and server technology.
My career path:
I am employed as a SCADA Engineer and since my entrance to Vestas I have been through quite some organizational changes, offices and changing portfolios. After Engineering College, I started my career working in sales in the oil industry and in sales and product portfolio sales support in the communication and network industry. In my job as a SCADA Engineer I am able to combine my educational knowledge and previous job experiences.
My network:
Vestas is a wonderful and exciting workplace. We work with many cultures and with different ways of doing things! The network here is incredible. People across Vestas are always helpful which I find crucial for me to be able to do my job and develop professionally.
My Vestas:
Vestas is a large, fast-growing company working in an exciting environment with many different cultures. This will of course to some extent generate a challenging workday. I believe that if you are patient, show respect for others’ work and trust in yourself, Vestas will be able to offer you colourful colleagues, lots of new experiences, varied and interesting jobs and career paths.
My life:
I try to get the most out of my life and keep a good balance between work and private life. I believe it is important to be able to concentrate and focus on each thing at each given time. I try to get a balance between my physical and mental strengths by teaching aerobics, spending time with my family and friends and being outside for a walk or working in the garden.
