At 31 May 2008, Vestas had 75,319 registered shareholders, who combined represented 168,845,994 shares, or approx 91 per cent of Vestas' share capital. At the end of May 2008, approx 68 per cent of Vestas' registered capital was held by the company's 50 largest shareholders, including custodian banks.
Based on the information available as at 31 May 2008, an estimated 70 per cent of Vestas' total share capital, including shares not registered by name, was believed to be held by shareholders outside Denmark.
