
At the end of March 2013, Vestas had 176,133 registered shareholders, including custodian banks. The registered shareholders held 92.8 per cent of the company’s share capital. At the end of March 2013, 171,519 Danish shareholders owned about 62 cent of Vestas, which has a free float of 100 per cent.
Major shareholders
In accordance with the Danish Public Companies Act, section 55, the below shareholder has informed Vestas that they own more than five per cent of the share capital.
Notification of significant shareholdings
According to the Danish Companies Act, article 29, anyone holding Vestas shares shall as soon as possible notify Vestas of such shareholdings if:- the voting rights attached to the shares represent not less than 5 per cent of the voting rights of the share capital, or the nominal value of the shares accounts for not less than 5 per cent of the share capital, or
- a change in a holding already notified entails that the limits of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 50 or 90 per cent and the limits of one third or two thirds of the voting rights of the share capital or nominal value are reached or are no longer reached, or the change entails that the limit of 5 per cent of the voting rights or the share capital is no longer reached.
Simultaneously with notifying Vestas, the shareholder must also report the shareholding to the Danish FSA (notification: http://oasm.dfsa.dk/uk/frontpage.aspx).
