Vestas hosted a capital markets day for institutional investors, analysts and the press on Thursday, 20 November 2008, in Aarhus/Hammel, Denmark. The programme for the day included some of the below topics:
- Visit to Vestas Technology R&D’s Validation Centre in Aarhus including a guided tour and information about the centre and the activities carried out at the validation centre.
- Visit to Vestas Control Systems in Hammel. The visit to Vestas Control Systems included a guided tour and information about the activities of Vestas Control Systems. Topics included integrated product development and production design (electronics, control systems, SCADA systems) and the importance of software, electronics and control on wind turbine/wind power plant operations and reliability.
- Visit to Vestas Technology R&D’ new technology centre in Aarhus. The visit here included a guided tour and information about the activities of Vestas Technology R&D. Topics will include technology trends, energy prices and competitive strength. Furthermore, the visit will include sessions on wind and site, quality, turbine operation and performance as well as a virtual tour in a wind turbine.
