Recruitment Process 

Vestas | Recruitment process

In order to ensure the best candidate is identified, selected and hired, a comprehensive recruitment process will always take place, but can differ depending on the position you are applying for. The recruitment process is always carried out by the Hiring Manager in collaboration with Human Resources.

A key focus for us is that you as an applicant have a good experience and we will do our very best to ensure that the process is handled in a professional manner every time.

After submitting your CV and application in our recruitment system, your profile will be reviewed to ensure that your skills and experience meet the essential criteria for the role you have applied for. Our recruitment process ensures that all applicants are reviewed on a fair and equal basis.

Once the most suitable candidates have been identified, each candidate will be contacted directly and be invited to participate in an interview.


Interview 

If we see a potential match between you and a position you will be invited for an interview at a Vestas location or through an online telephone call. For some positions, the initial interview to learn more about your capabilities and skills will also be a telephone interview.

As a candidate, your experience is important to us, which is why the interview will always include an introduction to Vestas as well as thorough insight to the potential role and department you are interviewing for.

For many of our positions there is both a first and a second interview. Prior to the second interview for most positions, you will be asked to participate in a personality assessment. This assessment includes questions about you and your behavior in different situations and is focused on getting to know you even better.

Candidates applying for a position that is part of one of our career paths (Manager, Specialist and Project Manager) must also go through the Vestas Assessment Center in addition to the personality assessment.

The Vestas Assessment Center is a separate assessment conducted by our external recruitment partner to make sure we have a third opinion on our match.

When creating your profile in our Candidate Pool you will be asked to submit information about yourself, your previous work experience, your educational background and your professional and personal competencies. The more specific information you enter, the greater your chances are of being found in our job-specific "Search & Match" process where we look for candidates for future positions in Vestas.

By registering in our Candidate Pool your profile will be searchable to relevant Human Resources people in Vestas. You can also choose to be notified when new jobs that match your profile have been posted.

    Recruitment Process

    It is the first time I am applying for a job at Vestas - anything I need to know?

    If it is your first time applying for a job at Vestas, you will need to create a candidate profile in our recruitment system.

    When logging into the system, you are guided through a process where you will be asked to fill in your personal contact details, educational background, previous work experience, etc. During the process you will also be requested to attach your CV, application and other relevant documents.

    How do I know whether Vestas has received my application?

    When you have sent your application via our recruitment system you will receive a confirmation email informing you that Vestas has received your application for a vacancy.

    If you do not receive the confirmation message within a few minutes after your registration, please check the spam folder in your email account to check that the confirmation email has not been delivered to that instead of your inbox. If the confirmation message has been delivered to your spam folder then please mark it ‘Not Spam,' which should allow any future messages to be sent directly to your inbox.

    If you have questions concerning the vacancy, the job advertisement will always include a contact person who has the professional expertise to answer such questions. Often the manager will be the contact person.

    How is my application evaluated?

    It is important to us that we always act professionally towards our candidates so that we present ourselves as a serious and loyal employer. This means that we make an effort of acting quickly, but not rashly and that we continuously focus on having a positive interaction with candidates and keep our promises.

    Therefore, we evaluate your qualifications and compare these with the job requirements with the purpose of finding the most suitable candidate. The final decision on inviting you to an interview is made based on the available inputs: Your candidate profile, CV and application.

    Can I apply for more than one job at the same time?

    Yes, you are welcome to apply for more vacancies at the same time. However, we encourage you to only apply for vacancies that match your skills and competencies. Through our recruitment system we are able to see an overview of the vacancies you applied for and thereby ensure that we avoid conflicts.

    Please also be aware that all applications are processed with confidentiality and only shown to the Vestas employees involved in the specific recruitment process. It is important to emphasize that all processing of data is handled in compliance with the local data protection legislation.

    Does Vestas use assessments or tools?

    The recruitment process can vary from position to position. In many of our recruitments we ask our candidates to complete a personality test. The personality test is completed online. If you are invited to take a test, you will receive information and the login details via email.

    The assessments will be conducted in the language that you are most comfortable with. This will often be your native language. It is very important to us that there is no language barrier when completing the assessment.

    Can I hand in an unsolicited application?

    Are you interested in a career at Vestas, but have not found the vacancy that you are looking for? Then you are always welcome to register in our candidate pool.

    In the candidate pool, you can register your details and submit your CV and other information. By registering in our candidate pool your profile will be searchable to relevant Human Resource people in Vestas. You can also choose to be notified when new jobs that match your profile are being posted.

    Recruitment System

    How do I view my application status?

    Login to your account and select My Submissions. In the section Submission Status you can view your status.

    How do I attach or delete files in my submission or general profile?

    1. Select Attachments or move forward to the step Attachments by entering all mandatory fields and press Save and Continue.
    2. Select Browse, locate the attachment and click Open
    3. Add your comments to the file and click Attach
    4. Your file is not attached and information about your attachments is displayed on your screen

    If you want to remove the file, select Delete. You can also review the file by selecting the File Name.

    The system cannot attach my files - what can I do?

    Make sure your file is compliant with the rules for attached files

    • You cannot attach a file that exceeds the allocated limit of one megabyte
    • If your file exceeds the allocated limit of one megabyte please minimize the size by removing graphics and animations.
    • You can attach a maximum of 10 files, one at a time. The maximum limit of all 10 files is 10 megabytes. You can only attach files that do not contain viruses.

    I would like to receive emails in another language - how do I change my correspondence language?

    1. Sign in and select My account Options
    2. Scroll down to locate Correspondence Settings and click Edit
      To change your correspondence language click on the dropdown menu and select the appropriate language. The available languages are: Danish, German, English, Spanish, Chinese, French and Italian. Please note that not all correspondence is available in all languages and you might receive some correspondence in English even though you have selected another language.
    3. Click Save. Your correspondence language has now been changed.

    I do not want to receive notifications - how do I change my correspondence settings?

    1. Sign in and select My account Options
    2. Scroll down to locate Correspondence and click Edit
    3. You are able to select whether or not you want to
      • Receive email notifications when a new position matching your profile is posted.
      • Receive an email acknowledgement when Vestas has received your job submission.
      • Receive a rejection letter when your job submission is not selected.
    4. Make the appropriate changes and click Save. Your correspondence settings have now been changed.

    I forgot my password - what should I do?

    1. Go to the login page and select Forgot your password?
    2. Enter your user name and email address in the appropriate fields and click OK
    3. You will receive an email with a message containing instructions on how you can access your account and change your password.
    4. Click on the link in the received message in your email. Enter your user name and Access Code and click Login
    5. When accessing your account the first time you will be asked to create a new password. Enter your Access code and new password in the appropriate fields and click OK.
    6. Your password has now been changed and you can sign in to the system using your new password.

    Forgot your username - what should I do?

    1. Go to the login page and select Forgot your username
    2. Enter your email in the appropriate field and then click Validate On the screen you will be able to see your username. You can go back to the login page by clicking Back to login page
    3. If you have not registered an email leave the field empty and click Validate
    4. For the system to identify your unique candidate record and retrieve your username, you must provide some personal information. Enter the required information in the appropriate fields and click Validate to verify if the information matches a unique candidate record
    5. On the screen you will be able to see your username. To go back click Back to login page

    I have locked my profile - what should I do?

    1. If your profile has been locked, a message will display on your screen informing you that an email has been sent with information on how to get your account unlocked.
    2. Access your email and follow the instructions: Click on the link in the mail and request a new password using the instruction on the screen or in this document under the question: Forgot your password.

    I want to change my password - what should I do?

    1. Sign in to your profile and select My Account Options
    2. Scroll down to locate Login Information. Select Edit
    3. Enter username, current password, new password, confirm new password and click Save
    4. Your password has now been successfully changed.
