Certificates for the environment and occupational health & safety

All Vestas employees are required to work according to common management standards for the environment and occupational health & safety. All activities must also be certified according to the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards for environmental and occupational health & safety management. By implementing a global management system, we can make improvements that benefit the customers, shareholders, staff, environment and other stakeholders.

ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 feature a range of requirements that Vestas is obliged to meet. For example, we are obliged to continually improve the environment and occupational health & safety and comply with legislation in each area.

For certification, checks are made to determine whether:

  • The requirements in the business processes and the individual standards within the environment and occupational health & safety are being fulfilled
  • There is correct documentation that the work done on the environment and occupational health & safety have been mapped and prioritised annually

Overriding targets are then set for the entire business area. Clear plans of action are also prepared for the entire organisation. Finally, audits are conducted where the management systems’ efficiency is evaluated.
