Vestas was founded in 1898 by H.S. Hansen in Lem, Denmark, first manufacturing steel windows for industrial buildings. In the 1970s, the company started to examine the potential of the wind turbine as an alternative source of clean energy.
Today Vestas develops, manufactures, sells, maintains and monitors wind power plants in many parts of the world. Our extensive portfolio of turbines ranges from the V52-850 kW turbine to the V164-7.0 MW turbine, each tailored to specific conditions and requirements.
