Vestas currently monitors almost 25,000 turbines, or 43 GW, round the clock, and this opens up for effective maintenance planning and higher uptime and performance for the turbines, benefiting customer earnings and Vestas' expenditure, as Vestas’ service technicians are now able to service more than twice as many turbines as they were at the beginning of 2008.

Over the past 30 years we have succeeded in improving the generator effect of our wind turbines by a factor of 100 – and we constantly strive to improve.
We have installed almost 49,000 wind turbines in 73 countries on six continents. We install an average of one wind turbine every three hours, twenty-four hours a day. In fact, our wind turbines generate more than 90 million MWh of energy per year, or enough electricity to supply millions of households.
